I come with a lot of lore. I studied performance in Houston, moved to Chicago for the storefront theatre scene, spending nearly a decade as a commercial and animation voiceover artist—so when I say voice is intrinsic to how I think, I mean it literally.

I got my startup sea legs by managing email marketing channels (shoutout to my 2007 Livejournal for the HTML skills), but craved a more creative day-to-day. I wanted to be a copywriter, so I taught myself and convinced someone to hire me. I then aspired to be a beauty editor, so I taught myself…and convinced someone to hire me. Sensing a theme? Yes, I’m entirely self taught and you’re being convinced to hire me. I just really love a good story and a pithy tagline—and there’s a lot of life experience to make ‘em interesting.

When I’m not at my computer, I have a rotating list of hobbies. Currently adult figure skating, previously some combination of making leather-bound junk journals, beading, quad rollerskating, DIY nail art, and collecting Pokémon cards. I also have three beautiful senior dogs who look just like me and my husband.
